Our athletic training staff would like to welcome you to The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Pembroke, NC. We will do everything to make your stay comfortable during your time in Pembroke. The first class athletic training facilities are located in the English E. Jones Health & Physical Education Center (Main Athletic Training Room) and the Bob Caton Fieldhouse (Football Satellite Athletic Training Room). These modern facilities are some of the finest in Division II and will enable us to meet any of your athletic training needs.
In the Jones Center facility, there are two plunge pools for therapeutic usage, eight treatment tables and a separate taping station to complete any pregame treatments you may require. In addition, our athletic training staff will also be available to assist you and provide your respective teams with first class medical coverage. Please contact your respective athletic trainer (follow the link above for specific assignments) if you will NOT be traveling with a certified athletic trainer or ATS; so we can make accommodations for your student–athletes.
The number one priority of the Athletic Training program is to provide Braves student–athletes with the best medical care available using our sports medicine team. This team consists of licensed/certified athletic trainers, physicians, specialists and athletic training students. Our goal is to expedite the diagnosis following an injury or illness using our team of medical professionals and immediate diagnostic testing. These components will assist in an expedited return to sport. In addition, our athletic training staff utilizes a hands-on philosophy and current rehabilitation techniques to accomplish this goal.
Best of luck the upcoming season and we look forward to welcoming you to UNC Pembroke this year. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding our athletic training services.
