In her fourth year working with the UNC Pembroke athletic training staff, Natalie Myers is a nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainer who is specifically responsible for the wrestling, softball and men's and women's golf teams.
Before making her way to UNC Pembroke, Myers was a graduate assistant head athletic trainer at California University of Pennsylvania where she logged hours with the women’s soccer and softball squads. Myers was also responsible for four athletic training students as a clinical instructor and ensured appropriate sports medicine for all student athletes.
A native of Hampton, Va., Myers first got involved with athletic training during her undergraduate studies at Elon. At Elon, Myers was part of a CAATE accredited program and logged hours with the athletic training staff with women’s track and field, women’s cross country, football, men’s soccer, softball and women’s basketball included in her team coverage.
In addition to her work at the college and university level, Myers has logged time with snowshoeing during the Special Olympics Winter Games. During her senior year at Elon, Myers was named the most valuable athletic training student and was also a student-athlete advisory council representative.
Myers received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Elon in 2008 and her master’s of science in athletic training from California University of Pennsylvania in 2009. Myers was a member of the Dean’s List and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll all four years at Elon and was a presidential scholar during her time at California University of Pennsylvania.
