Men’s Basketball To Host Day, Team Camps In June
PEMBROKE – The UNC Pembroke men's basketball program has announced the dates for the 2012 Boys Basketball Summer Camps that will be conducted by Braves head coach Ben Miller and his coaching staff. The docket includes both a day camp, as well as a team camp.
The one-day team camp will be held on June 16 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and the cost is $275 per team with a limit of 10 players per team. Each team is guaranteed four games (three in pool play, plus single elimination tournament) and each camper will receive a camp t-shirt.
The day camp, which is open to both boys and girls entering 1st through 8th grades in 2012, is scheduled to run from June 18-20 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The camp is designed to provide a fun and positive atmosphere while learning basic basketball fundamentals. Campers will participate in basketball workouts with UNCP staff and players, and will also engage in age group scrimmage games. Each camper will also receive a camp t-shirt.
"Our staff and players are excited about the opportunity to work with community youth and local high school teams again this summer," Miller said.
