Set a new personal best at Duke Twilight Invitational in the 200m dash with a time of 22.65 to place ninth overall as well as setting a new personal record in the 400m dash at the Tar Heel Invitation placing first in his heat and 20th overall with a time of 50.65 … Competed on the 4x400m relay as the second leg for a fourth place finish with a time of 3:22.42 at the Johnson C. Smith Invitational … Has had top-10 finishes as a member of the 4x400m relay and has competed on the 4x100m and 4x200m teams … Placed second at the Braves Classic in the 200m dash with a time of 22.83 while placing ninth in the 400m dash at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regionals with a time of 51.19.
Prepped under head coach Rick Stoker at Jack Brit High School where he lettered in track and field … During his senior year on the way to the Buccaneers second straight conference championships, held a 22.7 200m, 49.3 400m and a 2:06 800m … During his junior season was named all-conference for his performance in the 4x800m relay with a school record time of 8:05.
The son of Benjamin and Darla Cureton … Has two sisters, Dominique and Dalaney … Also ran cross country and played basketball at Jack Britt High School while graduating with a grade point average of 3.0 … Plans to major in Business Administration at UNCP.
