AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
Garnered a spot on the Peach Belt Conference Honor Roll (Presidential Scholar) … Posted his personal best in the 100m dash at the UNCW Seahawk Invitational for a 12th place finish with a time of 11.18 seconds and also competed in the 200m dash (20th, 23.07 seconds) … Registered a personal record in the 200m dash for a 20th place finish at the Aggie Classic with a time of 22.74 seconds and his second best finish of the season in the 100m dash with a time of 11.24 seconds … Captured two seventh place finishes in the 100m dash with a time of 11.34 seconds at the CCU Chanticleer Classic and with a time of 11.71 seconds at the Lynchburg College Classic ... Placed sixth at the CCU Chanticleer Classic in the 200m dash with a time of 22.97 seconds … Ran the 100m dash (44th, 11.35 seconds), the 200m dash (55th, 23.12 seconds) and the first leg in both the 4x100m relay (41.96 seconds) and the 4x200m relay (1:32.14) at the CCU Shamrock Invitational … Was the third leg of the 4x100m relay (41.11 seconds) that recorded the second-best time of the season at the Highlander Invitational, while placing eighth in the 400m dash with a time of 50.91 seconds … Ran the third leg of the 4x100m dash (41.19 seconds), the 100m dash (20th, 11.40 seconds) and the second-fastest time of the season in the 200m dash (19th, 83 seconds) at the Duke Twilight Meet … Also competed at the NCAA Divisional II Southeast Regional, Weems Baskin Invitational, Liberty Open and the VMI Winter Relays.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Northeastern High School for Coach Casino and Coach Gorham … Competed in track and field clocking a personal best in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.9 seconds … Named the Sprinter MVP his senior year as well as a team captain … Finished second in conference and participated in the 4x100 meter relay at the state championship … Was a member of the soccer team and team captain earning all-conference accolades while being awarded the coaches award.

PERSONAL
The son of Robin and Alexis Joyner … Has two older sisters, Chenay and Tarsha … Graduated 30th in his 190-member senior class at Northeastern while maintaining a 3.85 cumulative grade point average … A member of the honor society, Pasquotank, county youth council, 4H club, special Olympics volunteer, relay for life volunteer and Homecoming King his junior and senior years … Earned academic honors as a honor grad, a junior honor marshal, Who’s Who Among High School Students/All-American Scholars, national honor roll, superintendent academic team, and a scholarship recipient for anatomy camp at Appalachian State …  A biology major at UNCP.
