Davis, Ray Open Meet For UNCP At CCU Shamrock Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Senior AJ Davis Jr. and newcomer Shaquille Ray were the only Braves to compete for the UNCP men's track and field team in the first day of competition at the CCU Shamrock Invitational on Friday hosted by Coastal Carolina University.

Davis finished 11th in his flight in the hammer throw with a mark of 47.90m to place 15th overall, while Ray crossed the finish line in the 100m dash with a time of 10.85 seconds for a 26th place finish.

The men's track and field team will continue competition at the CCU Shamrock Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
