Moore Earns Third PBC Women's Golfer Of The Week Award
AUGUSTA, Ga. – After capturing individual medalist honors en route to leading UNCP to its third win of the season at the Lady Cougar Intercollegiate Classic last weekend, sophomore golfer Meghan Moore has been named this week's Peach Belt Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Thursday.
Moore carded a two-round total of 145 (71/74) that placed her one-over-par for the tournament on the par-72, 5,844-yard Country Club of Columbus course and she currently leads the PBC with a 75.7 stroke average through 14 rounds of play.
A transfer from East Carolina, Moore has now won two tournaments this year with her other victory coming at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate on February 5-6. She leads the eighth-ranked Lady Braves with six top-10 finishes and is tied with senior Katja Dammann with five top-five finishes this year.
This is the third such award for Moore this year and the Lady Braves have captured six of the possible eight weekly honors this season.
