Svensson Named To Women’s Soccer Preseason All-Conference Team

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Lady Brave Anna Svensson was named to the Peach Belt Conference Women's Soccer Preseason All-Conference Team as voted on by the league's head coaches, the league announced Friday. Svensson was among 12 members named to the 2010 team.

Last season, Svensson was named to the second-team all-conference and second-team all-region by Daktronics. She led the team and was third in the PBC with 13 goals as a freshman, while also tallying three assists.

Columbus State and Georgia College each had three players named to the team while North Georgia and Armstrong Atlantic State had two each.  Clayton State and UNC Pembroke also had one player on the squad.

The Lady Braves have 14 returners returning to the field for the 2010 season along with four freshmen.

The Lady Braves open up their 2010 season on Thursday, September 2, against Mount Olive in Pembroke at Varsity Grounds.
