A former member of the UNCP women’s tennis team, Jenna McGary will begin her second year as a graduate assistant for the Lady Braves.

McGary was on the court for four years during her undergraduate career at UNCP. In 2011 she earned a bachelor of science in exercise sport science. While in pursuit of degree she she played #1 doubles for four years and #1 singles for three on the women’s tennis team.

As the captain of her high school tennis team for all four years McGary is well equipped with valuable leadership skills. During her high school career she played #1 singles and doubles for four years.

She has gained additional coaching experience as a tennis instructor for four years. During this time McGary taught tennis lessons to children aged four through 14, and for older adults as well. She was also responsible for various tennis maintenance duties, such as fixing nets and stringing racquets.

Currently, McGary is earning her masters in physical education from UNCP.
