DANBURY, Conn. – The postseason honors continued to roll in for the UNC Pembroke wrestling team on Friday when Chad Hoff, Tyler Makosy, Eric Milks, Blaze Shade and Mikey Thomas were all named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Wrestling League all-conference squad, the league office announced.
 
The release marked the second all-conference laurel for Shade who was also named the league's wrestler of the year last season. Hoff, Makosy, Milks and Shade all picked up all-conference recognition for the first time in their careers. The Braves and Newberry led the league with five selections apiece.
 
Hoff, a product of Oriental, registered a 14-14 record this season, including a 4-2 mark against ECAC competition. Hoff tallied an 8-7 mark in tournament settings this season and made two trips to the podium, including a fifth place showing at the 36^th Annual Pembroke Classic in November. Of his 14 victories on the season, more than half (8) were of the bonus point variety.
 
Makosy turned in a 17-13 record this season, while also registering a 3-1 mark in league play. The redshirt freshman from Ijamsville, Md., made three trips to the podium this season, including runner-up finishes at both the Pembroke Classic and the Central Florida Open. He recorded an 11-8 mark in tournaments, while also tacking up three victories via pin and a trio of others by major decision.
 
Milks rattled off a 17-10 record during his redshirt junior season and registered a 4-2 mark against ECAC competition as well. The New Bern native tallied an 11-8 clip against NCAA Division II competition this season, while also turning in a 9-4 mark in dual meet settings. Milks posted five pins this season, as well as one technical fall and a pair of major decisions.
 
It was business as usual for Shade in 2016-17 as the Erial, N.J., product advanced to the national championship match for the second-straight season, while also picking up his third career all-America nod. Shade finished his senior campaign with a 27-4 clip, and led the Braves with nine victories via pin. He was a perfect 12-0 in dual meet settings, and tallied a 6-2 record against top 5-ranked competition.
 
Thomas capped his illustrious career with a trip to the NCAA Division II National Championships after placing runner-up at the NCAA Midwest Super Regional – his fourth trip to the podium in 2016-17. Thomas, a Burlington native, turned in a 19-10 record, including a 12-6 clip in tournament settings. Four of his victories came via pin, but he also posted one victory by technical fall and three others by major decision.
