No. 21 Baseball Has Record Win Streak Snapped At Lenoir-Rhyne
INDIANAPOLIS – Days removed from extending its school record win streak out to 14 games with a 2-1 victory over Coker on Sunday, the 21
st-ranked UNC Pembroke baseball team checked in at No. 3 in the initial NCAA Division II Southeast Region Ranking that was released on Wednesday afternoon.
The Braves (35-11) are one of four Peach Belt Conference teams included in the first region listing of the championship season. Conference Carolinas regular season champion Mount Olive (42-7) is atop the poll, and is followed by Peach Belt Conference regular season champion North Georgia (37-8). South Atlantic Conference regular season champion Catawba (35-12) is in the No. 4 spot, while USC Aiken (34-11) rounds out the top 5.
North Greenville (37-13) is No. 6 and is followed by Belmont Abbey (30-15), Georgia College (30-11) and Tusculum (27-18).
The Black & Gold will continue a regular season-ending six-game road trip tonight when they head to Hickory to face Lenoir-Rhyne (21-26) in a 6 p.m. contest at Bears Field.
