Lady Braves To Hold Auction And Raffle To Benefit 'Band Of Parents'

PEMBROKE – Please support the UNCP volleyball team in their effort to raise money for Taylor Love, a six-year-old girl that is fighting neuroblastoma and leukemia.

Since her diagnosis Taylor has endured countless procedures, biopsies, blood transfusions and stays in the hospital. She has undergone seven rounds of high dose chemotherapy, surgery to remove a tumor in her abdomen and a stem cell harvest. She has completed several rounds of a phase I clinical trial which included immunotherapy treatment and IV radiation. She had undergone radiation treatments to her head, orbits and abdomen and is currently undergoing treatment in a phase II antibody trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

The team is kicking off a $1 raffle in a chance to win two $50 Walmart gift certificates and a silent auction for an autographed football by Eli Manning of the New York Giants.  The drawing and auction will end Dec. 4 and the winners will be announced at the UNCP basketball doubleheader vs. Clayton State.  All the contributions will be donated to the "Band of Parents", an organization that funds neuroblastoma and pediatric cancer research.

To bid on the football, please visit HERE. The auction will end on Nov. 11, so get your bids in now!
