CHARLESTON, W. VA. – The UNC Pembroke
volleyball squad upped their season record to 4-2 Friday with a
opening day split at the University of Charleston Invite in
Charleston, W. Va. The Lady Braves are now 2-2 on the year in the
first day of tournaments.
The Lady Braves earned a 3-0 win over Bluefield State in the
day's first matchup, using scores of 25-14, 25-5 and 25-6 to
make quick work of the Lady Blues.
The Lady Braves found a tougher opponent in the host Golden
Eagles of the University of Charleston after losing in straight
sets by scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-17.

The Lady Braves will continue their action tomorrow with matchups
against West Virginia Wesleyan at 9:00 a.m. and with West Liberty
at 1:00 p.m.
