PEMBROKE – Visiting Mount Olive pounded out 13 hits in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader en route to crossing the plate six times in handing UNCP a 6-3 loss at LRA Field in Pembroke.

The Lady Braves (4-2, 0-0 PBC) upped their hit total from four in the first game to eight in the second, but were only able to score three runs while stranding six baserunners.

Senior Loren Bartz led the squad with a 2-for-3 effort at the dish with an RBI-double in the first inning. Jamie Burwell followed her heroic game one performance with a 1-for-2 effort with a run scored and two RBI.

Hillary Jones added a two hits in three at-bats with two runs scored and a double in the fifth inning.

The Lady Braves will be back at it on Saturday with a doubleheader against Lenoir-Rhyne starting at noon at LRA Field in Pembroke.
