20 Questions With UNCP Senior Outside Hitter Rebecca Morgan
As A Kid, My Sports Idol Was: Growing up I never really watched sports, but I was active and played different sports. As a kid, I only ever remember hearing about Michael Jordan, Mia Hamm and Bobby Labonte (NASCAR) which my dad liked. Therefore, as a child, I did too.
One Thing People Don't Know About Me: I haven't used shampoo or conditioner in about five months. I have been using baking soda and apple cider vinegar. Don't worry, my hair doesn't smell like the vinegar, it just has no smell. My hair has never been better.
The Celebrity Some People Say I Look Like: I have never been told I look like a celebrity, but one time I uploaded a photo of me to the celebrity look-alike website and Halle Berry showed up as one of my matches. Ha!
My Dream Job Would Be: I would love to be a stay-at-home mom, but that's not realistic. So I am hopefully, one day, going to be an elementary/middle school guidance counselor.
Concert I'd Like To Attend: I would like to see NeedtoBreathe. I have already been to one of their concerts, but I would love to go to another one.
Favorite Meal To Cook: I just recently made pulled pork (in a slow cooker) and it was amazing. I like it because you can make a lot of different meals with it.
One Thing I Would Need Most On A Deserted Island: Has anybody seen Cast Away? I definitely would want Wilson.
Best Place To Study: I get most work done when I go to the library. When I force myself to go somewhere else to study, I normally get all my work done.
Who Is The Best Prankster On Your Team?: Megan Gallimore is pretty good at catching us off guard, but we all like to joke around.
Best Part About Road Games: I do like the free food, but I also love the random things that always happen to make the road games more interesting. I always have a story to tell after every trip.
Proudest Sports Moment: At my previous community college, we won regionals and I was awarded MVP. It was exciting knowing we were going to nationals for the second year.
Youngest Childhood Memory: I remember bits and pieces of my early childhood, but I remember my first day of school. I took the bus and I walked up the huge steps. Once I entered the school, I felt overwhelmed and scared because I had no idea where I needed to go. I sat in the middle of the lobby on the floor crying, but no one came to help me for a long time until I was rescued by a mother of a boy in my class. That was my first impression of school.
Talent You'd Most Like To Have: I wish I could whistle.
What Would Your Ideal Day Consist Of?: Right now I would love to go to an amusement park because I haven't been to one in a while.
Words Or Phrases You Overuse The Most: I have a habit of repeating words… "Yeah Yeah," "True True," "K K"
What I Love Most About UNCP: I love my team. We all have our differences, but we would do anything for each other.
I Came To UNCP Because: I mainly came to play volleyball, but getting my degree and graduating is definitely a priority.
My Advice To Youngsters Would Be: The game of volleyball is temporary, like most things in life, but in these moments let's do our best. 1 Corinthians 9: 25-27 says "All who compete are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step."
What Is One Thing You Want To Happen Before You Leave UNCP?: I would like to go to nationals. It's my last year and, no matter what happens, I don't want any regrets.
How Do You Want People At UNCP To Remember You?: I want to be remembered as faithful and loyal.
