20 Questions With UNCP Sophomore Goalkeeper Britney Bennett
The Team I Would Add To Our Schedule: I would add Florida State University to our schedule because I am from Florida, it is a very high-level team and I know a few athletes that play soccer on their team.
Other UNCP Teams You Watch Play: The men's soccer team, the volleyball team and of course the softball team. Oh, and if I can get to the golf course, I love watching a good round of golf!
Favorite Pro Sports Teams: Even though the team struggles to get wins, I will stick to my Tampa Bay Buccaneers for professional football. I'm not a big basketball fan, so I do not have a favorite in that sport.
I Can Do This One Thing Almost Better Than Anyone: I'm a pretty good yo-yo'er and I think I am better than most people!
The Thing I Enjoy Most About Game Day: Waking up and knowing that I have a team that is going to have my back and work hard with me when we all step on the field.
Athlete I Idolized Growing Up: I never really looked up to anyone but I did read Mia Hamm's book and loved her quote, "Take your victories, whatever they may be, cherish them, use them, but don't settle for them."
Least Favorite Conditioning Drill: I think keeper conditioning drills are the worst. Throwing your body on the ground then getting right back up and doing it all over again kills me.
Last Movie I Saw That Made Me Cry: I watched "The Blind Side" the other night and a tear definitely ran down my face.
Best Sit-Down Restaurant: My favorite restaurant is definitely Carrabba's!
Song You Must Listen To Before A Game To Get "Pumped Up": E.T. by Katy Perry and Get Low by Lil Jon are, for sure, my pump up songs before a game!
Moment In History I'd Like To Have Seen: I wouldn't have wanted to be around all the action, but being alive during 1773 and the Boston Tea Party would have been exciting!
If You Were A Candy, What One Would You Be And Why?: A Sour Patch Kid cause they don't get in trouble and everyone likes them!
My Motto Is: You can train hard but hard is never hard enough.
When I'm Not In Class Or At Practice, You Can Find Me: In the gym or walking my dog, Sammy.
Your Idea Of Perfect Happiness: A world with people who are patient.
What I Love Most About UNCP: All the pretty flowers around campus, and the instructors that understand when athletes have to miss class.
I Came To UNCP Because: I did not want to stay in Florida because it is too hot and I strongly dislike the beach.
My Advice To Youngsters Would Be: Always try your best in the classroom because it catches up to you in the long run.
What Is One Thing You Want To Happen Before You Leave UNCP?: I would like to get all A's one semester.
How Do You Want People At UNCP To Remember You?: As that real nice, cool and athletic soccer player!
