SAVANNAH, Ga. – The UNCP women's volleyball fell in three straight sets, 25-14, 25-14 and 25-19, on Friday evening in Peach Belt Conference action to Armstrong Atlantic at The Arc Arena. 

The Pirates (23-5, 7-1 PBC) were fueled by a strong hitting performance, registering a .310 hitting percentage, compared to .056 by the Lady Braves (5-17, 0-8). 

UNCP's offense was led by Marissa Baker and Shay Peterson, who slammed eight kills and six kills, respectively. Baker also notched a team-high eight digs for the Black and Gold. Ashlyn Rebok dished out 18 assists for the Lady Braves. 

Amanda Jones led the Pirates with 10 kills, while Ashley Seal added seven kills. Jones posted her 1,000th career kill on match point as the Pirates took the victory. Seal and Jessica Santaniello provided the Pirates with 10 digs apiece. 

The Lady Braves return to action on Saturday as the squad travels to St. Augustine, Fla., for a PBC contest with Flagler (16-7, 8-0) at 2 p.m. at the Flagler Gymnasium.
