Braves Check Into Another National Poll

OMAHA, Neb. – Winners in each of its first nine games of the current campaign, the UNCP baseball team added some more national attention to its repertoire on Sunday evening as the Braves checked in at No. 17 in the latest Top 30 ranking by CollegeBaseballLineup.com.

The Braves (9-0, 1-0 PBC) are one of four Peach Belt Conference teams included in the latest listing and join No. 9 USC Aiken, 12th-ranked Lander and 23rd-ranked Francis Marion in the latest edition. NCAA Southeast Region foe Mount Olive is the nation's No. 2 squad, while fellow region counterpart Catawba climbed a spot to No. 8 in the release.

The Braves will close out a season-opening 11-game home stand on Monday when they finish off their PBC-opening series with Columbus State (2-8, 0-1) at Sammy Cox Field. First pitch of the twinbill is scheduled for 1 p.m.
