CLERMONT, Fla. – The UNCP softball team opened up day one of competition at the NTC Spring Games with a four-run victory over Alderson-Broaddus before dropping the second game to Sioux Falls by one score on Monday afternoon at the NTC Spring Games.

The Lady Braves (12-17) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 9-5 decision over Alderson-Broaddus (4-4) prior to giving Sioux Falls (1-5) its first win of the season with a 7-6 victory over UNCP.

The Black and Gold return on Tuesday to face West Liberty (4-7) at 9 a.m. and turn around to play American International (0-2) at 11 a.m. in the second day at the NTC Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.
