WOMEN'S GAME NOTABLES:
• The Lady Braves look to rebound from a two-game losing streak, after having lost to Montevallo and  Clayton State last week. UNCP suffered a 73-40 setback to the Lakers, followed by a 62-59 loss against the Falcons.
• Despite a six-point lead going into the second half, trouble at the free throw line kept UNCP from taking the victory against Montevallo. The Lady Braves were held to just 10-of-21 (47.6 percent) from the charity stripe. In spite of the loss, three players finished in double-digit points, including a team-best 19 points from Jazmine Kemp (#20), while Kamille Horne (#25) and Jasmine Huntley (#13) chipped in 13 points and 10 points, respectively.
• Kemp paces the offense with 12.4 points per game, while Kierra Haney (#33) is averaging a double-double with 10.9 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.  Haney is second in the PBC in rebounds per game and total rebounds (171).
• Armstrong has lost its last two contests, including most recently falling to Georgia Southwestern, 91-88, in overtime. The Pirate offense is powered by three players averaging double-figures points, with Tyler Carlson (#21) leading the way with 15.1 points per game. Bryonna Davis (#22) adds another 14.1 points per game, while Brigitta Barta (#00) contributes 11.1 points per game.
•  Tomorrow is the 39th all-time matchup between UNCP and Armstrong. The Pirates will bring a 24-14 series advantage into the contest. Last season the series split, each team taking the victory on their home court.
