Box Score Related: Men's Basketball Back In D2SIDA Poll At No. 22
INDIANAPOLIS – Less than 24 hours removed from checking back into the national rankings, the UNC Pembroke men's basketball team made an appearance in the initial NCAA Southeast Region Ranking which has heavy influence on the eventual 64-team NCAA playoff field.
The Braves (20-4) are one of seven Peach Belt Conference teams included in the first region listing of the season. Conference Carolinas-leading Mount Olive (24-2), a mid-December victim of UNCP, is atop the listing, while South Atlantic Conference leader Lincoln Memorial (20-1) is second. King (20-5), in the No. 7 spot, is the only other non-PBC team including in the ranking.
Only games against NCAA Division II teams are included in each team's win-loss record.
The Braves will open up its final road trip of the season on Wednesday evening at Flagler. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. inside Flagler Gymnasium.
