YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Defending Peach Belt Conference champion Young Harris scored six second half goals, including four in the last 8-1/2 minutes, to hand the visiting UNC Pembroke men's soccer team a 9-0 loss on Saturday afternoon at the YHC Soccer Field.
Despite the loss, the Braves (5-10-0, 3-6-0 PBC) locked up a berth in next week's PBC Tournament. The Black & Gold will travel to Lander on Tuesday to face the top-seeded Bearcats in the quarterfinals. Saturday's result marked the fourth-straight victory for the Mountain Lions (9-6-0, 6-3-0) who will host an opening-round contest on Tuesday.

Tyler Santee each logged one shot apiece to pace UNCP who came out of the contest on the wrong end of a 39-2 shot disparity.
Lucas Gusmao allowed all nine goals between the pipes for the Black & Gold, but also tacked up 14 saves as well.
Anuar Kanan came off the bench to score three goals for Young Harris, while six other players logged a score for the hosts as well. Goalkeeper Sebastian Thompson recorded one save on the way to registering his third shutout of the campaign.
A kickoff time for Tuesday's first-round PBC Tournament contest against the PBC regular season champion Bearcats will be announced late Saturday evening.
