SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Freshman Bianca Bateman eclipsed the school record in the 100 Yard Individual Medley, while four of her teammates turned in top-10 finishes as well, to help the UNC Pembroke swimming & diving team register a fourth place showing on final day action at the 8^th Annual Converse Women's Invite on Saturday.
 
Batemen, who busted the school record in the 100 Yard Butterfly on Friday, bested the program superlative in the 100 Yard Individual Medley by 0.50 seconds on the way to a 10^th place finish in the event on Saturday. Fellow freshman Jaycie Knight recorded a seventh place showing in 100 Yard Backstroke, while Victoria Brousseau, Ignayara Hernandez Martinez and Selena Rodriguez finished 6^th, 7^th and 8^th, respectively, in the 200 Yard Breaststroke.
 
The Braves finished fourth among the five-team field at the event. Catawba paced the field by nearly 300 points, while the Braves doubled up the points of fifth place Pfeiffer.
 
The Black & Gold will return to action on Saturday when they make the short trip north to take on Greensboro in a 1 p.m. dual meet inside the Reynolds Center.
