MARS HILL – Victoria Brousseau and Jaycie Knight both grabbed runner-up accolades in the 50-yard Breaststroke and  100-yard Backstroke, respectively, but the UNC Pembroke swimming & diving team dropped both ends of a tri-meet at Mars Hill on Saturday.
 
Milligan upended the Black & Gold by a 143-82 margin, while the host-Lions got the better end of a 190-49 result.
 
Knight also logged a third-place showing in the 50-yard Backstroke. Jaiden Estrada (50-yard Freestyle), Bianca Bateman (100-yard Freestyle) and Megan Hunter (500-yard Freestyle) all registered third-place showings as well in their respective disciplines.
 
The Braves will take a 5+-week hiatus from competition before resuming their 2018-19 schedule on January 12 against Pfeiffer and Converse in Misenheimer.
