SALEM, Va. – Sophomore
Alayna Richardson broke her own school record with a jump of 3.20 meters to claim runner-up honors in the Pole Vault and highlight action for the UNC Pembroke track & field team at the Roanoke College-hosted Finn Pincus Invitational on Friday.
On the men's side, the Black & Gold posted another strong showing in the High Jump.
Bradley Thompson claimed second place with a mark of 1.98m.
Forrest Powell and
Caleb Coles finished tied for fourth place with a jump of 1.93m.
UNCP's squads combined to tally seven personal-best marks across just nine events on Friday.
The Braves will finish out competition at the Finn Pincus Invitational on Saturday. The first events are scheduled to take place at 10 a.m.
