JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Erman Jepleting busted a pair of records, including a standout performance in the 800-meter Run that also earned her an event title, to highlight action for the UNC Pembroke track & field team on Saturday afternoon at the ETSU Buccaneer Invitational.
Jepleting turned in a time of 2:24.09 on the way to claiming the top spot in 800-meter Run, but also had a standout performance in the 3,000-meter Run where she broke Ivy Ramsey's school record with a time of 10:46.21 and cruising to a third place finish. UNCP's 4x400-meter Relay team -

Leisha Jackson and
Jacques Tucker – also broke the school record by nearly three seconds that was set in 2016.
On the men's side,
Joshua Chepkesir eclipsed teammate
Silus Kipkoech's record in the 5,000-meter Run, out-pacing the rest of the field with a time of 14:36.28.
The Braves will be back in action this weekend when they return to the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem for the Camel City Invitational. The first event is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on Friday.
