SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke softball team tacked up three runs in the first inning of game one and used 11 hits to capture a 6-1 victory over Converse on Sunday afternoon. The Braves logged 10 hits in game two and allowed just five Converse hits to secure the twinbill sweep 3-0 in the back half of the doubleheader.
The sweep for the Braves (7-3) marks the best start in program history since the 2017 season. The setback for the Valkyries marks the fourth straight loss this season.
