PEMBROKE – Ethan Ott's registered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the first inning to give the 24^th-ranked UNC Pembroke baseball team all the offense it would need as the Braves capped a season-longest nine-game home stand with a 13-1 victory over Catawba on Tuesday at Sammy Cox Field.

Eight different players recorded at least one base hit for the Braves (27-11) who have now captured seven of their last 10 outings dating back to March 26. It was the most lopsided loss of the season for the Indians (24-17) who had not lost to the Black & Gold since May 18, 2017.

The Braves will dive back into Conference Carolinas play this weekend when they make the short trip north to take on Mount Olive (22-15, 11-10 CC) in a Friday/Saturday series at Scarborough Field. Friday's 6 p.m. opener will mark the first regular season meeting between the two sides since April 16, 2003.
