MOUNT OLIVE – The UNC Pembroke track & field teams registered four event titles and 17 personal-bests on the final day of the Trojan Relays on Saturday at the Ray McDonald Sr. Track & Field Complex.
Delsin Burkhart picked up the 800-meter Run title with a time of 1:56.67, while
Lucas Nervo made his debut in the 3000-meter Steeplechase by claiming the title in a time of 10:00.86.
Bennie Oxendine,
Cedric Douglas and
Sabastian Bradley all tallied personal-bests in the Shot Put and finish amongst the top-10.
On the women's side,
Jackline Kosgei also made her debut in the 3000-meter Steeplechase in grand fashion by winning the event in a time of 12:29.24, while
Aly Hudspeth claimed the last event title in the High Jump clearing 1.53-meters.
Savannah Watkins placed second in Long Jump and third in High Jump, while
Lillian Marino placed third in Shot Put and fifth in the Discus Throw, both of which marked personal-best marks.
The Braves will travel to Columbia, S.C. on Saturday for the UofSC Open. The meet will take place at the Sheila and Morris Creggor Track.
