                     GREENSBORO – Newcomer 
Lucas Nervo logged a top-5 finish in the 1500-meter Run while 
Savannah Watkins placed 11th in High Jump as the UNC Pembroke track & field teams competed at the Aggie Invitational on Saturday at Irwin Belk Complex. 
Nervo cruised to a fifth place finish in the 1500-meter Run with a time of 4:07.42. 
Jack Phieffer crossed the finish line in ninth place for the 1500-meter Run in a time of 4:09.42. ZIon Blue landed in the 14th place for Long Jump with a leap of 6.36-meters, with 
Cedric Douglas earned a 17th place in Javelin Throw after tossing 33.09-meters. 
On the women's side, Watkins registered a mark of 5.21-meters on the way to her 11th place finish. 
Raigan Evans finished 19th in the Discus Throw with a mark of 33.33-meters, while 
Lillian Marino placed 22nd in the event with a toss of 32.90-meters. 
 
The Black & Gold will be back in action on Saturday when they compete at the Trojan Relays in Mount Olive, as well as the Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, S.C.
