MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke track & field teams combined for 11 personal-best marks on the second day of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Friday at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
On the men's side,
Jack Phieffer (4th place),
Norman Junker (6th place) and
Hunter Levy (8th place) highlighted the action all finished inside the top-10.
Gabe Blackwelder established a personal-best time in the 800-meter Run on the way to a 14th place finish, while
Ben Oxendine also placed 14th in the Javelin Throw with a toss of 47.00-meters.
On the women's side,
Jackline Kosgei finished inside the top-10 in the 5000-meter Run with a time of 19:24.97, while
Karen Piro placed 21st with a personal-best time of 21:44.01. Raven Hatson also recorded a personal-best time of 12.23 for a 17th place finish in the 100-meter Dash, while
Alycia Artman registered a 34th place finish in Hammer Throw after a personal-best throw of 37.12-meters.
The Braves will close out weekend competition on Saturday for the final day of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
