DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The UNC Pembroke softball team rallied from an early 4-0 deficit and scored three runs in the top of the 9^thinning to hold onto an 8-5 victory against Lake Erie on Sunday morning at the UNG Leadoff Classic. 
 
The Braves recorded just one hit against No. 1 North Georgia as the Nighthawks tallied 14 hits to help fuel a 10-1 victory in five innings for the final game of the tournament.

KEY INNINGS (GAME 1)
BOT 1	Arianna Tamm reached on an error, moved to second after a sacrifice bunt, and then stole third. Jasmine Gonzales beat out an infield single to score Tamm. Lillian Camp singled down the right field line to drive in a run. Lake Erie loaded the bases, but McKenna Mill poked a single into the right field gap to score two runs and give the Storm a 4-0 lead.
TOP 4	Marijo Wilkes got the inning started with a walk and advanced to second on a single up the middle from MaKenna Sibbett. Jai Deese sent one over the left field fence for a three-run homer.
TOP 9	UNCP put runners on first and second as Kynley Brewer reached after a wild pitch and MaKenna Sibbett reached via an error. Chloe Locklear smacked a double to left center field to score Brewer followed by an Emma Eckhart RBI single to left field.
KEY INNINGS (GAME 2)
TOP 2	Marycille Brumby singled through the left side and scored on a triple down the right field line from Rylie Moody. Jolie Lester drove in a run on a single through the middle followed by an RBI double from Sophie Mooney. Mallory Parker sent one out of the park to give North Georgia a 5-0 lead.
BOT 2	Jai Deese lit up the scoreboard with a homer over the left field fence.
