LYNCHBURG, Va. – The UNC Pembroke swim team broke one school record and registered three more NCAA B Standard times on the final day of the TYR Invite on Sunday inside the Liberty Natatorium.
Sofia Pereira shattered the school record and hit an NCAA B Standard time in the 1650-yard Freestyle with a third place finish and a time of 17:07.15. Freshman
Noelie Lacour placed 13th in the 100-yard Freestyle finals with an NCAA B Standard time of 51.79, while
Britta Schwengle picked up a sixth place finish in the 1650-yard Freestyle with an NCAA B Standard time of 17:20.71.
The Braves will now turn their attention to the Open Water National Championship on Dec. 13. The event will take place in Sarasota, Fla., at Benderson Park.
