MAXTON – The UNC Pembroke softball team registered 12 hits, had three extra base hits and a pair of home runs on the way to an 11-3 victory against Felician on Saturday at the UNCP Softball Invitational. 
 
The Braves put up six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and scored runs in five of the six innings to help fuel the victory.

KEY INNINGS (GAME 1)
BOT 2	UNC Pembroke loaded the bases, but a single to left field from Kynley Brewer plated a run. A deep sacrifice fly from Marijo Wilkes scored another run before loading the bases again with a walk. Summer Bullard smacked and inside the park grand slam to put the Braves ahead 7-1.
TOP 3	Felician loaded the bases with a pair of walks and a single, but a walk to Kimberly Torres scored a run. An ill-timed passed ball allowed one other runner to score with UNC Pembroke leading 7-3.

The Braves will close out weekend competition of the UNCP Softball Invitational on Sunday. UNCP will play Davis & Elkins and 12:30 p.m., followed by Felician at 3 p.m. All games will be played at Purnell Swett High School.
