Women’s Basketball Lands Three On All-Conference Team

March 5, 2025

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The UNC Pembroke women's basketball team was well represented on Thursday with the release of the Conference Carolinas Women's Basketball All-Conference Team when three players – Zaria Clark, Anastasia Sinclair and Stella Mollica, all earned third team all-conference laurels.

Five schools sent multiple selections to the all-conference squads, with the Braves leading the way with their three honorees. It is the fourth consecutive season that the Black & Gold have had multiple all-conference recipients, and Thursday's announcement matched the program's most all-conference selections.

An everyday starter for the Black & Gold, Clark has now earned all-conference honors for the last three seasons. A native of Stanley, Clark averages 10.6 points and 7.0 rebounds per game. The senior is shooting 43.3 percent from the floor and has scored in double-figures in 17 different games this season. Clark has also registered five double-doubles this season.

A native of Charlotte, Sinclair leads the team with 12.0 points per game. The sophomore is shooting 46.8 percent from the field, which ranks fifth in the conference. Sinclair has scored in every game this season and recorded a career-high 24 points against Virginia Union earlier this season. A Conference Carolians Offensive Player of the Week selection, Sinclair has posted double-digit scoring in 20 games this season.

A product of Mohnton, Pa., Mollica has started in every game this season and averages 8.8 points and 5.6 assists per game. The senior broke the single season record for total assists with 163, which ranks first in the league. Mollica has scored in 28 games this season, including a career-high 16 points twice.

The fourth-seeded Braves (22-7) will be back in action on Friday in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Conference Carolinas Tournament at Wofford's Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium against fifth-seeded Young Harris (21-8). Tipoff is set for 11 a.m.
