INDIANAPOLIS – The eighth-seeded UNC Pembroke women's basketball team will make its third-consecutive appearance at the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament when it takes on top-seeded North Georgia in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Southeast Regional on Friday in Dahlonega, Ga.
 
The Braves, who earned an at large berth to the big dance, are one of three Conference Carolinas teams in the tournament. Francis Marion will be the fourth seed, while Belmont Abbey will be the seventh seed. It is the first time since 2013 that Conference Carolinas has had more than more than one team into the tournament.
