KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Benedetta Pepe Pugliese recorded an NCAA B Standard time, while the Britta Schwengle won the 200-yard Freestyle to highlight action for the UNC Pembroke swim team on the third day of the Conference Carolinas Championship inside the Kingsport Aquatic Center. 
 
The Braves continue to hold strong in first place after the third day of events with a total of 540.50 points, while Montevallo moved into second with 424.0 points. Emmanuel sits in third place with 405.5 points.
 
Schwengle took home another individual title beating the competition in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:53.41. Pepe Pugliese took second place in the 400-yard Individual Medley with an NCAA B Standard time of 4:29.05. Newcomer Noelie Lacour captured a third place finish in the 100-yard Butterfly, while Kennice Greene placed third in the 100-yard Backstroke. 
 
The Braves closed Friday's evening session with a third place finish in the 400-yard Medley Relay as Britta Schwengle, Benedetta Pepe Pugliese, Noelie Lacour, Kennice Greene touched in a time of 3:55.49. 
 
Saturday's final-day action inside the Kingsport Aquatic Center will get underway at 10 a.m. with the preliminaries of the 200-yard Backstroke. Saturday's evening session will include the finals of the 200-yard Backstroke, the 100-yard Freestyle, the 200-yard Breaststroke, the 200-yard Butterfly and the 400-yard Freestyle Relay.
