UNCP Athletics Wraps Up Food Lion Feeds 2025-26 Basketball Campaign

PEMBROKE – The impact for UNC Pembroke men's basketball program extended beyond the hardwood this season thanks to the UNC Pembroke athletics department's partnership with Food Lion Feeds Score To Give More Program.

The Black & Gold finished the regular season with 540 made free throws, which helped donate the maximum number of meals the the Taley & Jordan Hunt Braves Resource Center. During the Braves final regular season home game on Wednesday, Pembroke Food Lion manager, Lisa Locklear and her staff presented Taley & Jordan Hunt Braves Resource Center Coordinator, Nate Revels with a check for 30,000 meals.

About the Taley & Jordan Hunt Braves Resource Center
The Taley & Jordan Hunt Braves Resource Center includes an on-campus food pantry open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Students are welcome to visit the pantry twice per month, while faculty and staff are welcome once per month. Community members who wish to receive food services are required to attend monthly educational workshops focused on life and career development skills. Upon completion of each workshop, participants will be awarded a CARE Resource voucher to use at the pantry.
