INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sofia Pereira kicked off action at the 2026 NCAA Championships on Wednesday in the 1000-yard Freestyle inside the Deaconess Aquatic Center. 

Pereira placed 28th in the event with a time of 10:25.14. 

Pereira will be back in action on Friday for the 500-yard Freestyle. Benedetta Pepe Pugliese will begin her quest at a national title on Thursday in the 400-yard Individual Medley.
