WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Sofia Skidmore brought home a first-place finish to highlight Day 1 action Friday at the Colonial Relays. 

Skidmore crossed in a personal-best time of 4:41.31 to take first in the women's 1500m, while Daniel Mejias finished eighth in the men's 3000m steeplechase to round out the top-ten finishers.

The Braves will be back in action Saturday for the final day of the event.
