AS A SOPHOMORE (2012)
A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... As a midfielder, he played in two games to record 29 minutes on the field … Finished the season with one point as he notched his only assist to teammate, Martin Tomter, in shutout victory over Chowan … Did not attempt any shots this season … Contributed to this season’s school record in number of goals in a single game (10) and largest margin of victory (10) against Chowan, and minimum shots allowed in a game (3) against Barton … Helped UNCP rank fourth in save percentage (0.861), ninth in shutout percentage (0.53), 12th in team goals against average (0.72), 18th in total assists (39) and 25th in scoring offense (2.26) in the nation … Contributed to the squad matching its third-best finish in 20 years (NCAA Division II era) with 12 wins … Helped the Braves make history in 2012 as they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament for the first time in 10 years.

AS A FRESHMAN (2011)
As a midfielder, he played in two games to record five minutes … Finished the season with one point on one assist … Took one shot … Dished out his only assist of the season to teammate, Martin Tomter, in the 10-1 victory over Chowan …  Contributed to this season’s school record in number of goals in a single game in a season against Chowan … Helped UNCP rank 19th in scoring offense (2.39), 22nd in total goals (43), 17th in team goals against average (0.8), 35th in shutout percentage (0.39), 34th in W-L-T percentage (.667) and 34th in save percentage (0.805) in the nation … A member of the squad that earned the PBC Team Sportsmanship Award.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Jordan Matthews High School under Coach Paul Cuadros … He captained the team and posted 16 goals in his senior year … Named all-conference and all-state as well as being awarded the coaches award … The Jets won the conference title and made it to the third-round of the conference playoffs for two consecutive years … In his junior year, he scored six goals and garnered the individual award … Played one game of club soccer for TFC.

PERSONAL
The son of Maira Mejia and Jose Ramon Hernandez … Has an older sister, Tania, and younger brother, Jonathan … A member of the Beta Club, AIM Club, Leo Club, and Foreign Language Club … Undecided in his course of study at UNCP.
