AS A JUNIOR (2014)
A member of the squad that earned the Team NSCAA Academic Award … PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... As a midfielder, he played and started in all 17 games to record 1522 minutes on the field … Took 20 shots, four of which (.200) were on goal … Registered a season-high four shots against Montevallo and three against Francis Marion … Recorded a season-high 110 minutes against Brevard and Montevallo followed by 106 minutes in the 0-0 draw with Francs Marion.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2013)
As a midfielder, he played in 15 games with 12 starts to his credit to record 1084 minutes on the field … Finished the season with seven points as he notched two goals and three assists … Recorded his first goal of the season and gave UNCP the early lead in the seventh minute despite the 4-1 loss to Wingate … Garnered his final and only goal scored in the 18th minute on the assist by Jeff MacDonald in the 3-1 loss to Erskine … Notched one assist in the contest against Lander, Anderson and Mount Olive … Took 20 shots, seven of which (.350) were on goal … Registered a season-high five shots against Mars Hill and four in the 1-1 standstill against North Georgia … Recorded a season-high 110 minutes in the tie with North Georgia and posted 90 in the 1-0 victory over Barton … UNCP skyrocketed to No. 15 in the national rankings for the second time in the Phil Hindson era after starting the season with a 5-1-0 record … During the season, the Braves shutout then-No. 3 Lander to mark one of the biggest wins in school history from a rankings standpoint.

AS A FRESHMAN (2012)
A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... As a midfielder, he played in seven games with five starts to his credit to record 387 minutes on the field … Finished the season with two points as he notched his both assists to teammate, Matt MacDougall on the first goal of the game and Rico Laitinen for the final goal, in the 3-1 victory over Wingate … Took five shots, two of which (.400) were on goal … Registered two shots against Anderson (S.C.) and one shot in the matches with Mount Olive, Wingate and Georgia Southwestern … Recorded 75 minutes in the contest with Lander and also logged time on the field against Francis Marion … Contributed to this season’s school record in number of goals in a single game (10) and largest margin of victory (10) against Chowan, and minimum shots allowed in a game (3) against Barton … Helped UNCP rank fourth in save percentage (0.861), ninth in shutout percentage (0.53), 12th in team goals against average (0.72), 18th in total assists (39) and 25th in scoring offense (2.26) in the nation … Contributed to the squad matching its third-best finish in 20 years (NCAA Division II era) with 12 wins … Helped the Braves make history in 2012 as they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament for the first time in 10 years.

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at De La Salle Waterford … Won two national titles as a part of the U13-U16 Waterford team … Played for the professional team out of Dublin, Shelbourne F.C., at 16 years old before playing for Bohemians F.C. where he played in every game … Has been a member of the U20 team for Waterford F.C., U17 Ireland International, U18 Emerging Talent International and Ickneild F.C. where legendary  Kerry Dixon, played for Chelsea F.C., mentored and coached the team.

PERSONAL
The son of Sharon and Paul Rooney has one younger brother … Has played soccer since he was six years old … An exercise science major at UNCP.
