AS A JUNIOR (2016): Played in 47 games, including 47 starts (35 at dh, 12 at lf) … Posted a .365 batting average in 189 at-bats with 33 runs scored on 69 hits, including 17 extra-base hits (7 HR), and a team-best 56 RBI … Also drew 11 walks, was hit by pitch four times and was a perfect 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts … Turned in two sacrifice flies and one sacrifice bunt … Tacked up 18 multiple-hit and a team-best 15 multiple-RBI outings … Also registered a 1.000 fielding percentage in 27 total defensive chances … Registered at least one base hit in each of the first nine games of his career in the Black & Gold … Opened up his UNCP career with a .750 (6-for-8) series against Pitt-Johnstown, including a game-two effort that saw him double, homer and drive in five runs on a perfect 4-for-4 tally … Recorded a .600 (6-for-10) series against Montevallo … Walked, tripled and scored on a 1-for-2 hitting line in the series opener … Doubled on a 1-for-4 hitting line in the series finale with Shippensburg to spark a team-long 29-game hitting streak that spanned 49 days … Hit .380 (46-for-121) during the hitting streak with 11 extra-base hits (4 HR) and 37 RBI … Turned in .444 (4-for-9) series against Flagler with a triple, home run, eight RBI and two runs scored … Hit .625 (5-for-8) in two games with Wingate, including a road effort that saw him double twice and score four runs on a 4-for-6 performance … Registered a .400 series (6-for-15) against USC Aiken with two home runs, six RBI and four runs scored … Homered in each of the first two games of the series with the Pacers … Registered two hits in each of the first two games of the series at Lander, but had hitting streak snapped with an 0-for-4 showing in the finale … Homered, drove in three runs and scored twice on a 4-for-5 day at the plate in the season finale at Columbus State.
