AS A JUNIOR (2013-14): A member of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll ... Posted an 0-7 record, including an 0-5 clip against NCAA Division II competition.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Tallied a 3-7 (.300) record, including a 3-6 mark in tournaments … Went 1-3 against NCAA Division II competition … Grabbed one bonus point victory on the season with a first period pin (2:15) of Darton’s Rashad Anthony in the Central Florida Open … Won his opener with Newberry’s Louie Altamirano at the Pembroke Classic … Also posted a win over John Carroll’s Michael Buckiso in the Citrus Invitational.

AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2011-12): Redshirted … Did not compete in any tournaments due to injury suffered in preseason practice.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at West Brunswick High School for coach Jimmy Caraway … Turned in a 37-8 (.822) record as a prep senior and qualified for the state tournament for the second-straight season … Earned both the county and conference championships, while also finishing third in the region tournament … Registered a 35-10 (.778) clip as a junior, as well as the conference championship … Was also a standout on the cross country team at West Brunswick.

PERSONAL: The son of Carol and Billy Bernier was born on Nov. 20, 1991 … Has an older brother, Ashton … Graduated in the top half of his 257-member senior class at West Brunswick High School … An exercise & sports science major at UNCP.
