AS A FRESHMAN (2016)
As a pitcher, she appeared in 22 games, making 17 starts ... Compiled a 3.77 ERA and a 5-6 record in 102 innings ... Tossed nine complete games ... Struck out 29 batters and allowed opponents to hit .306 ... Tossed six innings in a complete game win over Glenville State on February 20, allowing no runs and only three hits, while striking out three ... Allowed just two runs in a complete game win over Chowan on February 21 on three hits, striking out two ... Got the win in releif against Winston-Salem State on March 25, tossing two scoreless innings and surrendering just two hits ... A member of the squad that was named an Easton/NFCA Division II All-Academic Team for the second-consecutive year. 

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Grays Creek High School under coach Stuart Gilmer … Lettered in softball … In her junior campaign, she assisted the team in becoming conference and conference tournament champions with a 20-2 record … Tallied a .625 batting average and a .706 on-base percentage ... Also turned in a 10-2 record and a 2.35 ERA in the middle after throwing 62-2/3 innings with 69 strikeouts … Named all-state, all-conference all-district and all-region … Played travel softball for Triad Pride under the direction of coaches Barry Jones and her father Mike Strickland … Had a .600 batting average and a 1.20 ERA.

PERSONAL
The daughter of Tonya and Mike Strickland … Has a younger brother, Tyler … Ranked 17th out of her 286-member senior class and graduated with a 4.6 weighted grade point average … Received the Wendy's High School Heisman … A member of SGA, NHS, National Technical Honor Society, Academy of Scholars and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes … An education major at UNCP.
