AS A JUNIOR (2016): Saw action in 22 games from the mound, all in relief … Posted a 0-3 record, three saves and a 7.09 ERA in 33 innings pitched with 34 strikeouts and 16 walks … Held opponents to a .331 batting average … Did not allow a run in first five appearances (all 1.0 IP) … Struck out eight and allowed just one hit over three scoreless innings of work on the way to picking up his first save of the season at Young Harris … Notched a save at Francis Marion after striking out two and scattering three hits over three scoreless innings … Earned last save of season with an inning of work against Augusta in which he yielded two hits and an earned run.

BEFORE UNCP: Played two seasons (2013-14) at Catawba Valley CC … Saw action in 13 games from the hill as a sophomore, including five starts … Turned in a 1-1 record with four saves and a 3.54 ERA in 28 innings pitched with 25 strikeouts and nine walks … Earned his lone win on the season by striking out three in 1-2/3 innings of relief at USC Lancaster … Converted four-straight save opportunities against Southeastern, Wake Tech, Brunswick and Hernando State … Struck out a season-best five batters in a season-long six innings of work at Louisburg … Saw action in seven games on the mound as a freshman, including three starts … Turned in a 2-0 record and a 5.00 ERA in nine innings of work with seven strikeouts and four walks … Picked up first collegiate win against Limestone … Also grabbed a victory at St. Clair County.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at North Buncombe High School for coach Wesley King … Earned all-conference as both a pitcher and a designated hitter as a senior after registering a .350 batting average with three home runs and 35 RBI, as well as a 6-1 record and a 0.84 ERA from the hill with 40 strikeouts in as many innings.

PERSONAL: The son of Melanie and Johnny Ramsey … Maintained a 3.44 cumulative grade point average at North Buncombe High School … Enrolled in pre-major studies at UNCP.
