AS A FRESHMAN (2016-17): Compiled a 7-11 (.389) record, including a 7-9 mark in tournaments … Tallied three victories by pin and one other by major decision … Went 0-2 against NCAA Division II competition … Earned trips to the podium at three tournaments … Picked up first collegiate victory with a first-period pin of West Virginia Tech’s Justice Horn at the Star City Open … Placed sixth at that event with a 3-3 record … Earned runner-up finish at Central Florida Open, including a loss to teammate Danny Berrier in title bout … Finished 10th at the Citrus Invitational … Tallied first dual meet victory with an 11-2 major decision over Spartanburg Methodist’s Jordan Billings.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Columbia High School for coach Joseph Lovier … Earned a runner-up finish at the state tournament as a senior after recording a 37-7 (.841) record … Also earned all-state and North/South All-Star accolades … Registered a 39-5 (.886) record as a junior and earned all-region nods … Was also an all-region standout in football for the Capitals … Also lettered in baseball.

PERSONAL: The son of Carlissa and James Brown … Has two older brothers, Preston and Kyndran, and two sisters, Patrice and Briana … Maintained a 4.0 cumulative grade point average at Columbia High School … A pre-engineering major at UNCP.
