Prepped at A.L. Brown High School under coach Brian Landis … A three-year letterman in cross country and outdoor track and field, as well as a two-year letterman in indoor track and field … As a senior, he garnered the wonder award, was named all-conference, all-county and most valuable athlete in cross country … Was the most valuable athlete in indoor track and field, as well as the MECKA 4A Conference Runner-Up in outdoor track.
