AS A SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Turned in a 25-12 (.676) record, including a 13-4 mark in dual meets … Tallied seven bonus-point victories, including one pin, three tech falls and a trio of major decisions … Went 16-8 against NCAA Division II competition … Earned two trips to the podium, including top honors at the Pembroke Classic … Also finished fourth at the Citrus Invitational … Split four matches at the season-opening Hokie Open … Went unbeaten in four bouts at the Pembroke Classic … Recorded a 3-2 clip in consecutive appearances at the Midwest Classic and the Citrus Invitational … Won his final 10 matches of the regular season, including a perfect 5-0 mark at the Kutztown Duals … Fell to 10^th-ranked Christian Price of Ashland in his opener at the NCAA Midwest Super Regional.
 
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2016-17): Compiled a 17-12 (.586) record, including a 13-8 clip in tournaments … Tallied nine bonus point victories, including three pins, two technical falls and four major decisions … Went 4-9 against NCAA Division II competition … Earned a trip to the podium at four tournaments … Earned first collegiate victory with a first-period pin of Belmont Abbey’s Chandler Echols at the Pembroke Classic … Placed fifth at the Pembroke Classic with a 4-1 record … Earned runner-up finish at the Star City Open with a 3-1 clip … Strung together three-straight victories to take championship honors at the Central Florida Open … Logged four wins on the way to a fourth place showing at the Citrus Invitational … Earned first collegiate dual meet win with a 23-8 technical fall of Spartanburg Methodist’s Jacob Power … Also earned dual meet wins against St. Andrews, Tiffin and Newberry … Went 0-2 at the NCAA Midwest Super Regional.
 
AS A FRESHMAN (2015-16): Redshirted … Competed in two tournaments as an unattached wrestler … Compiled a 3-3 (.500) record with one win coming via technical fall … Went 0-2 against NCAA Division II competition … Posted a 2-1 record at the Panther Open, and picked up first win via an 11-7 decision over East Carolina’s Jared Nicholson … Also went 1-2 at the Newberry Open.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Carson High School for coach Bryce Vandenberg … Turned in a 40-3 (.930) record as a prep senior, while also taking home the state championship at 170 pounds … Earned second-straight all-county and all-conference nods, while also leading the Cougars to the dual team state tournament for the first time in school history … Registered a 44-6 (.880) mark as a junior … Was also a three-time all-conference standout in football for Carson, while also lettering in baseball as well.
 
PERSONAL: The son of Cortney Morgan and Tommy Sloop … Has two brothers, Michael and Matthew … Maintained a 3.3 cumulative grade point average at Carson High School … A criminal justice major at UNCP.
