Bunn, Tardanico Named Braves Of The Week For Week Of September 19-25
PEMBROKE – Football’s Patrick O'Brien and women's soccer's Gina Ryan have both been named Braves Of The Week for their performances last week (September 19-25).
Ryan, a native of Cape Carteret, is settling in as the UNCP keeper, playing all 270 minutes in net this week. She notched shutouts number two, three and four of her collegiate career, including a clean sheet against No. 9 Columbus State. It was the first conference loss for the Cougars in their past 33 league contests.
O'Brien, a Mooresville product, was responsible for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) as the Braves collected their seventh-straight home victory with the triumph over North Greenville. The junior finished the night with 330 yards on 34-of-39 passing with no interceptions. He completed 20 of his first 21 passing attempts in the outing as well.
